Recap
The Bully Wee moved into fourth place in League Two today, thanks to an excellent victory at Links Park.
With Scott McManus and Michael Daly out injured, Barry Ferguson gave Euan Murray his first start for the club in attack. Craig Halkett, Scott Ferguson and Andy Gibson were all also added to the starting line-up following last week’s defeat to Spartans.
Ferguson was keen for his side to show a reaction following the Scottish Cup exit and there was a perfect start for Clyde as Scott Ferguson converted Andy Gibson’s cross inside the opening minute.
After 27 minutes, Murray then got his first goal for the club to double the advantage, when he found the net after being set up by Ferguson.
The victory was put beyond any doubt midway through the second half when Aidan McIlduff became the second player to register his first strike for The Bully Wee, with Gibson again the provider.
Under-20 forward Jack Currie was a late addition to the action when he replaced Murray from the bench.
