New Douglas Park

Clyde FC currently plays its home matches on the outskirts of Glasgow at New Douglas Park, Hamilton. The stadium provides covered seating, with food and toilet facilities available to all visitors.

Directions

Road

The stadium is easily accessible via the M74 motorway.

From Glasgow take the M74 south and from Cumbernauld take the M73 leading to the M74 south, then exit the M74 at junction 5 taking the 5th exit at the roundabout to Bellshill Bypass (follow signs for B7071). After exiting the roundabout keep left and follow the signs for Hamilton B7071, turning left at the traffic lights. Keep driving for one mile, past Hamilton Park Racecourse, and then turn right onto Caird Street (opposite Hamilton College). Continue straight ahead for a short distance then at the next set of traffic lights turn right onto New Park Street. At the following roundabout take the second exit to Auchinraith Avenue, and then take the first exit at the next roundabout onto Cadzow Avenue, which leads to the stadium.

From Edinburgh or the east, exit the M8 at junction 7, taking the A725/Bellshill Bypass/East Kilbride Expressway. Continue for 4.5 miles, then take the exit for Hamilton (A724). At the roundabout take the first exit onto the B7012 and continue straight onto the A724. Take the first exit on the roundabout onto Whitehill Road, and then the third exit at the roundabout onto Melrose Street. Take the third exit on the roundabout onto Auchinraith Avenue, and then the second exit at the next roundabout to Cadzow Avenue, which leads to the stadium.

Car Parking

Access to the New Douglas Park car park will be restricted to those with accreditation; players, staff and officials, visiting directors, Executive Club members, Gold Season Pass holders, hospitality guests and those with disability parking badges. For all other spectators, there is free car parking within walking distance of the stadium, with large open air car parks on Caird Street and Beckford Street, and the car park underneath Morrisons on Auchinraith Avenue.

Train

The nearest train station to New Douglas Park is Hamilton West. Direct trains from Glasgow Central Low Level depart four times an hour, with the journey taking less than 30 minutes. Other stops on the line include Partick, Bridgeton, Dalmarnock and Rutherglen. There is also a train from Cumbernauld and Greenfaulds Stations to Hamilton West, departing once an hour.

Hamilton West station is less than half a mile from New Douglas Park, with a walking time of less than 10 minutes. For trains arriving on Platform 2 exit the platform and head north, with the path running parallel to the train tracks leading you directly to the stadium car park. For trains arriving on Platform 1, exit through the station car park, past the bollards and onto William Street. At the end of William Street turn right onto Dalziel Street. Follow the path under the railway bridge and you will arrive in the stadium car park.

Bus

The 263 and 267 buses run from Buchanan Street Bus Station in Glasgow to Hamilton Bus Station. Supporters travelling by bus should get off at the stop just past the Academical Vaults pub on Burnbank Road. On foot walk back towards the Academical Vaults then cross the road towards the church on Clydesdale Street and continue right in the direction of Hamilton West station. Walk past the train station and then turn left immediately afterwards down a path (parallel to the train tracks) which leads you directly to New Douglas Park.

Both buses are operated by First Bus. The 263 runs hourly on Saturday mornings and afternoons, whilst the 267 operates four times per hour. The bus journey is likely to take between one hour to one hour twenty minutes at peak times.

Stadium Entry

Those wishing to access the Fanzone before the game should enter via the Front Door. Home supporters should access the stadium via gates 1-3 at the south-west corner. Opposition supporters should enter via gates 4-6 at the north-west corner of the stadium.

Home supporters will be seated in sections C to J of the Main Stand (The Homesbook Family Section is located in section J), whilst opposition fans will be seated towards the north end of the Main Stand in sections A & B. Padded seats are reserved for hospitality guests, Executive Club members and Gold Season Pass holders. Opposition fans may be housed in the North Stand depending on the predicted size of the travelling support.

Disabled Supporters

Disabled supporters should contact the club in advance to make arrangements for attending a match at New Douglas Park.

Fanzone

The Fanzone at New Douglas Park will be open for both home and away supporters before every game, from 12pm on Saturdays. A range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and food will be available. Live football will also be shown on the numerous TV screens in the Fanzone, and there is more than ample seating and tables.

The Fanzone comes with a pool table, and there will also be a range of arcade games to keep children entertained.

The Club Shop will also be located in the Fanzone, where you can try on and purchase Bully Wee merchandise.
