Finance Director
The club is seeking an experienced qualified accountant to take on the role of Finance Director. This is a voluntary post and would ideally suit someone who can commit at least ten hours per week. It will not be less. We are working towards a permanent relocation of the club and related activities will form a central part of the remit.
This is a senior post and whilst experience of working at board level would be useful, we are offering support and mentoring to a candidate who has perhaps held a senior position which was not a board role.
The management of finance is a critical aspect of the operation of our football club and requires strategic thinking and the ability to communicate the complexities of our industry to the board and to our supporter owners in clear terms. Strength of character and integrity to navigate challenges of an often cash strapped environment are likely to be a necessary feature.
We work extensively through volunteering across the club and its charity The Clyde FC Community Foundation, the successful candidate will be expected to support and expand volunteering opportunities for others across both organisations including developing a cross organisational finance team.
