Appointed to the role as Chairman in January 2025, John is also General Manager at the club.

His role as General Manager charges him with primary responsibilities for all club operational activities, including player registrations, submission of team lines, ensuring compliance with the SFA and SPFL eligibility criteria.  He is also the club’s Matchday Operational Lead.

In this, his third tenure as Chairman, he has also held the post of Company Secretary and continues in his capacity as Match Secretary.

John was appointed to the Clyde board in August 1986 and is vastly experienced in the wider reaches of Scottish Football and beyond, through roles with the Glasgow FA, the SPFL, the Scottish FA and UEFA.
