PREVIEW: Peterhead v Clyde
The Bully Wee will make the long journey to Peterhead’s Balmoor Stadium tomorrow as the 2017-18 Ladbrokes League 2 season nears its conclusion.
With five matches left to play, both teams have a lot at stake, as Peterhead chase the title and Clyde aim to complete an incredible turnaround and claim a play-off slot.
No changes are expected to the Clyde squad that travelled to Cowdenbeath on Tuesday night.
Tom Lang, a longer-term absentee, has now had an operation on a knee injury and will begin his rehabilitation.
Speaking to the official website this evening, Danny Lennon said:-
“Our job now is to play to the best of our ability and give our all in trying to keep winning games. Ten wins out of thirteen games is terrific form and our focus is to keep to delivering that. If we do that we can see where it takes us.
“It would be a fantastic story for Clyde to get into the play-offs, but other teams have their own agendas as well. There are twists and turns to come and it’s not all in our own hands, but no-one will have a bigger influence on our own outcome than us.
“We’re up against the league leaders and a very difficult side tomorrow. It doesn’t faze me to go anywhere though and, with the players we have and the form we are in, I relish every game.”
Peterhead have advised supporters travelling by road to prepare for potential delays both North and South of Aberdeen, due to major roadworks on the A90.
