Young Scots Broadwood Bound

Broadwood has been confirmed as a venue for the 2008 Sky Sports Victory Shield competition.

The annual tournament is competed between the Under-16 sides of Scotland, England, Wales and Northen Ireland. England are the current champions and Scotland last won it in 1998.

Notable Scots that participated in the event at the start of their careers include Kenny Dalglish, Graeme Souness, Gordon Strachan and Billy Bremner.

The meeting of Scotland and Wales in this year’s competition will take place at Broadwood on Friday 17th October.
