Recap
The Bully Wee had to settle for a single point at Cliftonhill today, despite leading twice against a stubborn Albion Rovers side who had to deal with being reduced to ten men inside the opening minutes of the match.
Following back-to-back victories, Barry Ferguson named an unchanged starting line-up for the first time this season.
There was early drama in the match as, after just two minutes, Ciaran Donnelly brought down Kevin Watt at the edge of the box. Referee Nick Walsh awarded Clyde a penalty and red carded Donnelly.
Scott McManus made no mistake from the spot to give The Bully Wee an early lead.
However, the home side equalised when Scott Chaplain converted from a set piece.
Just before the break, Clyde’s lead was restored when McManus scored his second penalty of the match after the striker was fouled by Kyle Turnbull.
A disappointing second half saw Rovers frustrate Clyde with a disciplined performance and they were rewarded with an equalising goal after 65 minutes.
Confusion in the Clyde midfield led to Alan Martin gathering a long back-pass from Euan Smith, which the referee ruled as illegal. The resulting free-kick was blocked, but Mark McGuigan eventually found the net.
