Scott Ferguson has received a special message of support from an International player, as he continues his recovery period following a serious knee injury.
Clyde supporter Richie Duncan also follows German club Borussia Mönchengladbach and he was therefore aware that the Bundesliga team's midfielder, Patrick Herrmann had been through a similar experience to Scott this season.
Herrmann, 25, is a highly-rated player who has already been awarded two caps by Germany and he plays in a similar position to Scott on the right side of midfield. He recently returned to the Borussia team following a knee cruciate ligament injury and he scored in his second match back, after coming off the bench.
Through a friend in the Mönchengladbach Fanprojekt, Richie was able to ask Patrick if he could send Scott a message of support and he kindly obliged, with Richie and Scott pictured here with the letter.
In his message to Scott, Patrick said, "I hope you're going well... always believe, always work hard, and you'll come back!"
Thanks to Richie and Patrick for their very kind gesture, which was much appreciated by Scott.
