Scott took an unconventional path into senior football, having graduated from the youth ranks at Cambuslang Rangers before his obscene goalscoring exploits for the top team led to a move to Queen’s Park in 2022. Loan spells at Cove Rangers and then Kelty Hearts followed, with the latter proving particularly fruitful.

The striker was one of Darren Young’s first signings as Clyde manager in January 2025, and proved to be a popular figure from the off as the Bully Wee faithful took to his all-action style of play. Despite sharing the number 9 role for much of last season, Williamson was out in front as the club’s top scorer, bagging an impressive 17 goals after finishing the campaign in blistering form.

‘Scotty’ signed a two-year contract extension in May, keeping him at the club until 2028.
