Club captain Andy came through the ranks at Rangers, with whom he featured regularly in the Championship in 2015. Loans to Cowdenbeath and Queen of the South followed, before he established himself as one of the second tier’s finest midfielders across permanent spells with Greenock Morton and Ayr.

As he recovered from a long-term injury, Murdoch was brought to Clyde on a short-term loan in 2024, before extending his stay in the winter window. The vastly experienced midfielder has excelled under Darren Young ever since, and he signed a two-year deal to remain with The Bully Wee last summer.

Andy is currently under contract until the summer of 2027.
