PREVIEW: Clyde v Queen’s Park
Clyde welcome old Glasgow rivals Queen’s Park to Broadwood in cinch League 1 action.
This is the third meeting between the sides this season, and the previous two clashes have both ended in draws, with a David Goodwillie double ensuring a 2-2 in the first game at Broadwood and a 0-0 draw at Firhill in November.
Danny Lennon expects to have the same squad that travelled to Peterhead last week, but still has some injury issues throughout the side.
The Clyde manager spoke to the official website ahead of the match:-
“On reflection, looking back at last week with the good saves Parry had and the way Peterhead kept coming at us in the second half if they had scored earlier it would have been easier to accept. For them to score when we were 30 seconds from taking a victory back down the road makes it a bit more raw as it’s a very difficult place to go as we know.
“Looking ahead to Queen’s Park, they have an abundance of talent and are a really good full time outfit. What we have to continue to do is know what their strengths are, and what we can do to turn their strengths into weaknesses. More importantly, we have to bring our ingredients which is our organisation, our hunger, our desire and our work rate to win the ball back as quickly as we can. These have been the main reasons why we have seen success over the last few weeks.”
