Danny Named Manager of the Season

Danny Lennon has been named as the 2018-19 Ladbrokes League 2 Manager of the Season.

The Clyde boss was voted for the award after pushing the title race to the last day of the season following a terrific run of form over several months, with the promotion challenge still ongoing via the play-offs.

Speaking after receiving the trophy at Broadwood this week, Danny said:-

“I am very pleased to receive this award, which is another sign that we, as a club, have had a great season. Although this is an individual award, I can honestly say that it is only through everyone at the club doing their job to a very high standard that this award was made possible.

“I am delighted with the support I have in my role from the excellent coaches and dedicated board members we have here at Clyde.

“The players deserve a special mention as they have really bought into what we are trying to achieve and they have given it 100% in training and on matchdays. Together, we have developed a winning mentality and a brand of football that is pleasing for everyone associated with the club.

“I have always said that the most important people at the club are the fans and I am delighted that we have achieved further recognition for the football identity we are trying to provide for them, week on week.

“The final chapter of this season hasn’t been written yet and we are looking to write a fantastic, happy ending for everyone at Clyde.”
