Motorpoint Partners with Clyde
Clyde FC is delighted to announce a new partnership with Motorpoint for the 2018-19 season.
The UK’s largest independent car retailer, which recently opened its new-look showroom in Glasgow, is supporting the club both on and off the pitch over the next twelve months.
Motorpoint has provided first team manager, Danny Lennon with an executive car. It will also look at how to support Clyde’s various community programmes in Cumbernauld and across North Lanarkshire.
Adam Gilmore, General Manager of Motorpoint Glasgow, said: “We are delighted to have teamed up with Danny Lennon and the team at Clyde FC. We love the ethos of the Community Interest Club and are keen to play our part in supporting the local community in North Lanarkshire.”
Norrie Innes, Clyde Chairman, added: “Motorpoint prides itself on driving dreams and they certainly have helped Clyde FC pursue its ambitions by getting Danny mobile – thus enabling him to promote our community and footballing development programmes. As chairman, I am personally excited about the potential for this relationship to grow and develop into a long-term, mutually beneficial partnership.”
Danny Lennon said: “Football clubs provide a vital focal point for their communities and help to create community culture and identity. Clyde are doing exciting and tremendous things to help people thrive in the communities that we serve. These initiatives will only succeed through the ongoing support of businesses and key people, as we work together. I would like to thank Motorpoint and their wonderful team of staff for their excellent support of the club and the community initiatives we are investing in. We deeply value their input and I cannot recommend their quality of service highly enough.”
Motorpoint recently teamed up with Glasgow-based award-winning interior architects BSD Associates to transform its popular showroom into a wonderful environment for car buyers to choose, buy and drive away with a low mileage nearly car from 30 different manufacturers on the same day.
The new-look showroom, which took over two months to create, boasts a boutique style Moto Café, where customers can choose from a wide selection of hot and cold food, a Kids Zone and an area dedicated to customers four legged friends – as part of the branches continuing support for their charitable partner – The Dog’s Trust.
