Golf Day Raises £5k

The club’s 2018 Annual Golf Day took place yesterday at the Westerwood Hotel & Country Club, Cumbernauld.

The Bank Holiday weather couldn’t have been any kinder to the participants, with teams made up of celebrity captains, businesses and individual supporters and contesting a Texas Scramble competition.

The winning team (pictured) was from Quarriers who were joined by Clyde captain, Kevin Nicoll and carded an excellent low score of 58.7.

Following the afternoon on the course, the players returned to the clubhouse for a three-course meal, with an auction and raffle held to complete the day.

The final total raised for the club has been confirmed as an excellent £5,000.

The club’s thanks go to lead organiser, Graham Murray and all of the other volunteers and contributors who helped to make the day a success.
