Fantastic Response to Flying Start

The club is delighted to report that the Flying Start Fund has had an excellent response so far, with the initial target of 100 entrants already surpassed.

Funds raised from this initiative will be completely ring-fenced for the player budget for the 2018-19 season. Similar to the 200 Fund, direct debit payments of £5 will be taken on a weekly basis, but only for a 12-week period starting on 11th May.

A bumper draw will take place pitchside at Broadwood at a Betfred Cup match on either the 24th or 28th July, with three lucky participants set to share 50% of the total sum raised and win a four-figure cash prize each.

Speaking to the official website, Danny Lennon urged as many supporters as possible to join the scheme:-

“The Flying Start Fund is an excellent initiative, which highlights the fact that our fans, board of directors and coaching staff are pulling together in the same direction at this moment in time. This is exactly what we need to give our club a positive start to the new season ahead and move forward.

“It will be a busy summer for myself, much of my coaching staff and the board, as we look to attract and recruit the right players to the club to improve on last season.

“I am delighted by the response of the fans, with well over 100 already signed up. Well done to everyone involved. However, there is still time for others to join and we need as many Clyde fans as possible to participate in this initiative.

“The more we do together, the more we achieve together. This is the time for everyone associated with this wonderful club to work together to take it upwards in its standing in Scottish football. Let’s make this opportunity count and continue our positive momentum. Please rest assured that your support of Clyde FC is vital and greatly appreciated.”
