Clyde 0-0 Berwick Rangers

Neither The Bully Wee or Berwick Rangers could break the deadlock at a blustery Broadwood this afternoon, as Clyde recorded their third successive goalless draw.

Danny Lennon made two changes to the side that last played three weeks ago, with Kieran Duffie missing out due to a virus and Jordan Stewart dropping to the bench, being replaced by Kevin Nicoll and David Gormley.

David Goodwillie had the first chance of the afternoon, when he got on the end of Jordan Lowdon’s cross from the by-line, but the shot was saved by Robby McCrorie.

The visitors responded with an effort of their own, Blair Currie however was equal to Michael McKenna’s curling effort.

Darren Ramsay had a couple of inswinging corners in quick succession that troubled The Borderers; the first almost sneaked into the net at the front post, then the second flashed across the face of goal but no Clyde attacker could get a final touch.

Berwick captain Steven Notman then tried his luck from range after the interval, with a shot that whistled just past the post.

Another Ramsay free-kick caused a scramble in the Berwick box but no Clyde player could get a clean shot away, and the visitor’s clean sheet intact.

Andy Munro had a good chance to snatch a winner when Ramsay found him from a corner, though his effort fell agonisingly wide.

Callum Home was then called into action at the other end to ensure a point stayed at Broadwood, blocking a shot from Aaron Murrell that looked goal bound.
