PREVIEW: Clyde v Peterhead
The first quarter of the 2017-18 Ladbrokes League 2 campaign concludes tomorrow, with The Bully Wee hosting Peterhead at Broadwood.
It’s the first meeting of the clubs since the 2013-14 season, with The Blue Toon coming down from League 1 last term.
For Clyde, three players will come back into contention following suspension or loan ineligibility in last week’s Scottish Cup match; Jordan Lowdon, Andy Munro and PJ Morrison.
Matt Flynn and David Gormley could also be included in the squad as they come back from injury, as Jim Chapman explained to the official website this afternoon:-
“Matt and David aren’t ready for 90 minutes yet, but they could play a part. Matt is still due to see a specialist soon, but he’s been making good progress on a rehab programme in the meantime. David has now been signed off to join in with the squad, so he trained fully last night and was feeling good.”
On the match, the Clyde boss continued:-
“We want to build on last week’s win and clean sheet. Peterhead were one of the pre-season favourites – they haven’t had it all their own way so far, but they have a good squad and we know the dangers that they will bring tomorrow.
“From our point of view, it’s important that we stay in the pack at this stage. You can’t be 5% off it in any match in this league or you will get punished and that’s something we are trying to focus on.”
