Busy Weekend During Break
Jim Chapman has given a short update to the official website, following a blank weekend due to International football and ahead of Saturday’s William Hill Scottish Cup match at Keith.
The Clyde manager travelled North on Saturday to take in The Maroons’ Highland League match against Rothes, as he explained:-
“We didn’t have much information on Keith and we like to do our work before every game. It’s a big park, they are a big team and we’ll need a big performance to go through.”
While Jim watched Keith, the players took part in an extra training session, led by assistant manager John Joyce.
The under-20 team were also in Development League action on Sunday, against Albion Rovers, which presented a further opportunity for some first team squad members to get additional minutes under the belt. The match ended in a 4-0 win for The Bully Wee, with a full report to follow.
On the injury front, Jim continued:-
“David Gormley is progressing well and he’s feeling good so far. He’s shaping up well and, fingers crossed, he will be back involved with the squad soon.
“Matt Flynn is booked in to see a specialist later this month, which will tell us a lot more about his injury.
“Kyle Bradley should be back in full training this week and available for selection again.”
