Elgin City 3-2 Clyde
Clyde let a two-goal lead slip at Borough Briggs today, going down 3-2 to a 90th minute penalty.
Jim Chapman named an unchanged line-up for the first time and it was The Bully Wee who made the early running; and the chances.
After ten minutes, Darren Ramsay headed past from point blank range from a Stewart corner and David Goodwillie had a great chance a few minutes later when put through on goal by an Osadolor pass, but the striker passed up a great opportunity.
Clyde finally edged in front two minutes later when Goodwillie (pictured) scored from close range after a run and pass straight into the striker’s path. Osadolor then had a snapshot which the keeper saved, before Jordan Stewart scored with a 25 yard drive to put The Bully Wee 2-0 ahead on 31 minutes.
Clyde looked fairly comfortable at this stage, but Elgin gave themselves a lifeline in 39 minutes when Jamie Reid scored to give them the lift they needed before half-time.
The home side came out in the second half in more confident fashion, but a David Goodwillie chance midway through the half could have sealed the game for Clyde, before McLeish levelled for Elgin on 67 minutes.
Clyde then seemed to be weathering the storm but, as the game opened up, a through ball led to Reilly being upended in the box when through on goal. Blair Currie was shown a straight red card for making the foul, before Cameron blasted past substitute goalkeeper Belkacem.
