PREVIEW: Clyde v Berwick Rangers

Clyde will host Berwick Rangers at Broadwood tomorrow, in a vitally important penultimate match in the 2016-17 Ladbrokes League 2 season.

Both clubs are looking to secure the points required to avoid the play-off position, with current occupants Cowdenbeath just three points behind in the table.

The match is also The Bully Wee’s 500th competitive fixture at Broadwood and to mark the occasion, there will be reduced entry prices for all supporters (details below) to reflect the stadium opening prices in 1994.

For Clyde, Chris Smith returns after suspension, as does Phil Johnston following injury. Ross Perry, however, is ruled out with a back complaint.

Joint interim manager, JP McGovern spoke to the official website this afternoon:-

“We were disappointed last week, which came after two good performances in a row. We just didn’t perform, but it’s only one match and it’s gone now.

“Everyone knows the importance of tomorrow. A win could be a big step towards securing our league place and it would, at least, keep it in our own hands. We’ve got to stay calm, put in a good performance and see what’s happened elsewhere later on.

“It’s a home match and we want to use that to our advantage and dictate the way that we want the game to go, as well as getting our fans behind us again.”
