PREVIEW: Clyde v Edinburgh City

The Bully Wee will host Edinburgh City tomorrow, as a busy week of Ladbrokes League 2 action in Cumbernauld gets underway.

The previous three matches between the sides this season have been tight affairs, with a single-goal victory for Clyde at Meadowbank followed by two 0-0 draws.

With several players in the Clyde squad carrying niggles, a starting line-up will be decided closer to kick-off time tomorrow.

Joint interim manager, JP McGovern spoke to the offical website this afternoon.

“It was good to get the boys together for two nights this week,” he said. “It helped us to go over our gameplan and some other things that we wanted to work on.

“It was also good for the players to prepare physically and mentality, ahead of an important week for us.

“Edniburgh are a good side, very well organised and they’ve had some good results recently. It’s a match that we feel that we can win though.”

JP also issued a rallying call to supporters, with three league matches taking place at Broadwood in the next eight days:-

“We have to get together now and I hope that everyone will get behind us. If something goes wrong in a match, it won’t be for a want of trying and we are determined to give the fans something to shout about.

“Being at home can be big advantage if everyone can use it positively.”
