New Signing: Chris Mitchell

The club is pleased to announce that Chris Mitchell has agreed to join The Bully Wee from Queen of the South.

Chris can operate in defence or midfield and holds seven Scotland Under-21 caps.

The 26-year-old began his career at Falkirk, but left The Bairns after four seasons as a senior player and spent a year in England with Bradford City. In 2012, he then moved back to Scotland to sign for Queen of the South, where he went on to feature in 80 matches over a three-year spell.

Barry Ferguson said: “Chris is at a good age and he was desperate to come to Clyde and be part of the first team. He’s been full-time throughout his career so far but he’s willing to come down a level and take a different direction now.

“We tried to get him in January but it didn’t materialise. He’s an all round good footballer and he can play in several positions in midfield or at the back, which was a big attraction for us.”

Chris has signed a one-year deal with Clyde.
