Alan Moves On

The club can announce that Alan Martin will not be renewing his contract with Clyde for the new season.

The experienced goalkeeper was signed last September on a short term basis, before extending his contract in January and becoming an ever-present in the first team during his stay. He had an excellent season with The Bully Wee, culminating in four Player of the Year awards, and is likely to return to a full-time contract at a higher level.

Speaking on his Twitter account tonight, Alan said: “Thank you to everyone at Clyde Football Club. I’ve enjoyed my time playing with the club and I’ve got some good memories to take with me. To great supporters who stuck with us through a rough season, thank you for having me at your club.”

At the age of 26, Alan has the opportunity to further develop his career and he leaves with the best wishes of everyone connected with Clyde FC.
