Christmas Foodbank Appeal
What do you want for Christmas? It is a question at this time of year that all of us are asking and the answers are wide ranging.
For some, the question is answered in the simple words; ‘some food on the table’. For this reason Clyde FC, through its Community Foundation, are supporting the excellent work of foodbanks in Cumbernauld, Rutherglen, Cambuslang and East Kilbride.
Everyone involved with the club is invited to make a donation of any amount to this invaluable cause.
- A £10.00 gift provides turkey and trimmings for a Christmas parcel
- A £20.00 gift provides enough for an entire Christmas dinner
- A £40.00 gift provides a Christmas hamper!
Clyde FC Club Chaplain, John MacKinnon, who is organising the appeal said:-
“I’d like to encourage supporters to give someone you don’t know, and are unlikely to ever meet, the perfect gift this Christmas by giving a cash donation at one of our home matchdays, either through the buckets provided or better still in an offering envelope. Tax payers are also able to sign for gift aid recovery.
“I hope that you and yours will have a wonderful Christmas and I thank you in anticipation for your generous support of the work of foodbanks, through the Clyde FC Community Foundation.”
Collections will be taken on Saturday at Clyde’s League Two match against East Fife at Broadwood. Online donations can also be made at clydefc.co.uk/donate.
