Andy Gibson Retires

Andy Gibson has left Clyde after announcing his retirement from the game due to injury. The midfielder, 32, informed Barry Ferguson of his decision to stop playing this week.

Ferguson said:-

“Andy didn’t think he could give the club all he can so fair play to him, he could have just seen out his contract. It’s disappointing as he’s an experienced player, but he’s an honest man and we wish him all the best.”

Gibson signed for The Bully Wee in August and featured in 12 matches for the club.

Throughout his career, Andy featured for Partick Thistle, Stirling Albion, Stranraer, Glasgow Perthshire and Beith Juniors.
