PREVIEW: Clyde v Queen’s Park

Clyde’s first action of 2014 is a derby match against Queen’s Park at Broadwood tomorrow, as the League Two season enters its second half.

The Spiders are currently looking for a new boss following Gardner Speirs’ exit last month, so caretaker manager Richard Sinclair will be in charge in the away dugout for the second time.

For The Bully Wee, Jamie Barclay continues to be ruled out with a foot problem and, following last week’s match at Stirling, fellow goalkeeper Nik Rajovic is also doubtful with a shoulder injury. As reported earlier today, to provide cover between the sticks Dundee United stopper Joe McGovern has joined the club on an emergency loan.

Jim Duffy was expecting everyone else in the squad to be available and he spoke to the official website this evening:-

“We’re looking forward to getting back into action and, despite the festivities, it was business as usual with training this week. We had a close match against Queen’s Park last time and we’re expecting the same again tomorrow.”
