Gordon Thomson, Clyde FC Director commented: “Volunteers are the lifeblood of Clyde and are involved in every aspect of the club, from community and powerchair football to pro youth and a variety of matchday activities. Every week we have a large number of individuals giving up their time and lending us their skills and we want to enhance our support to them.
“In time this is a position that we will seek to externally fund. For the present we want to pilot it and evidence the need for the role, not only in supporting our existing volunteers but also in encouraging more people to volunteer, learn new skills, gain experience and have fun in playing their part in backing the club.”
