Masterton Moves On
The club can confirm that Steven Masterton has left Clyde by mutual consent.
Steven joined the Bully Wee for a second spell when he signed a short-term deal in August, but injury problems have prevented him from playing in recent weeks.
Speaking after today’s match against Montrose, Jim Duffy said:-
“Stevie has had ongoing pelvic and groin problems and he just can’t get himself fit, so it was in everyone’s interests for him to move on. He can now work on his rehab in Ayrshire, where he lives, as opposed to travelling up here for treatment.
“He’s very disappointed, he wanted to make a contribution and in his first couple of games I certainly felt he did that.
“I hope he can get back playing soon as he’s a decent guy and a good player.”
Moving in the opposite direction is teenager Ross Lindsay, who has agreed a short-term deal with Clyde. Ross is a central midfielder formerly of St.Mirren and Kilmarnock.
