Fantastic Offers with Season Tickets
The club’s season ticket packages for the 2012-13 campaign were officially launched last week and www.clydefc.co.uk spoke to Derek Inglis, the man in charge of including a fantastic set of partner deals.
“I am delighted to say that this will be the third season that Clyde has secured season ticket partners that provide our season ticket holders with free or discounted products and services,” Derek said. “I still believe that this is the way forward for all football clubs. Motherwell also ran the same scheme last season and I believe the rest of Scottish football should follow suit.”
As listed in the Season Ticket section of the website, new partners have been added for the Under-16 category for 2012-13; World of Wings and The Hampden Experience, whereby the holder will gain free entry when accompanied by a full paying adult.
World of Wings is part of the Cumbernauld Outdoor Centre in Luggiebank. It is Scotland’s largest bird of prey centre open to the public and has many different birds including eagles, vultures, hawks, falcons, owls, kites and parrots.
The Hampden Experience is a must for all Scottish football fans. With over 2500 objects, the museum is home to the world’s most impressive national collection of football related objects. A visit can also include a stadium tour, offering the same experience of Hampden Park as the players on match day – visiting the underground roadway, team changing rooms and get the chance to walk down the tunnel.
Derek continued: “I really urge the people of Cumbernauld to bring their kids to Broadwood this season and share in the great family atmosphere generated at a Clyde home match.”
An Under-16 season ticket also provides the holder with FREE entertainment at Pro Bowl and Adventure Planet.
Derek was keen to thank all season ticket partners across all categories, some of whom have refreshed their offers in order to add ‘something different’ for the Bully Wee faithful.
Margaret Ann Miller of the Westerwood Hotel was delighted to alter her deal and it is now fully focussed on golf, with Adult season ticket holders being entitled to a £5 discount when booking a 2-ball and a £10 discount when booking a 4-ball. Margaret Anne said, “I look forward to welcoming Clyde supporters to our fabulous golf course.”
Ian Woodburn, manager at Pizza Hut Cumbernauld was keen to stay on board for the season ahead and said, “I look forward to seeing the old (and young!) faces again during the coming season and all supporters of Clyde will receive a warm welcome as they take advantage of some great offers at Pizza Hut.” Pizza Hut outlets in city centre locations at Argyle Street, Renfield Street and West George Street are also included for those fans based in Glasgow.
Other businesses on board for the coming season are Arnold Clark (Cumbernauld and Mount Vernon) with an unbelievable FREE valet and health check as well as an MOT for only £35. Beefeater not only agreed to a 20% discount 7 days a week but they also included The Black Bear and Crooked Lum in addition to local favourite Dovecote in Cumbernauld.
Bombay Dreams, KFC, McDonald’s, Blockbuster Entertainment, Broadwood Farm, NL Leisure and Stuart Paton Quality Family Butcher & Dee’s Rolls also agreed to remain involved for the coming season. “I am continually looking at ways to benefit the community and there’s no better way than to support Clyde FC at the same time,” Stuart Paton said. “Good luck to the club for the season ahead.”
Walkabout in Glasgow offering Bully Wee season ticket holders a free Boomerang Card that entitles 20% off food and drink. Dominos Rutherglen also grabbed a slice of the action with a buy-one-get-one-free deal on medium and large pizzas.
The recently refurbished Smiddy Inn have increased their discount and now offer the Bully Wee supporter an amazing 20% off the total bill when dining in and our friends and fellow Clyde supporters at Gala Bingo have packaged up a tremendous ‘Bully Wee Bingo Bundle’ for the season ticket holder and a friend to enjoy a full night of entertainment, complete with bingo books, a free drink each and a meal (please gamble responsibly – www.gambleaware.co.uk).
Derek concluded in typical fashion, saying, “The hard work starts now that the season tickets are on sale!”
