Livingston 7-1 Clyde
Clyde exited the Scottish Cup this evening to a Livingston side who emphatically swept the Bully Wee aside by seven goals to one and will now face Dundee in the Fourth Round.
It was always going to be a tough task matching the full-time opposition, in which the majority of the home side were featuring in the First Division a few months ago.
When Livi opened the scoring in the 5th minute, through Jacobs, the writing was on the wall but Clyde responded through Alan Lithgow in the 11th minute. The Bully Wee defender smashed a free-kick into the bottom corner of the net from 25 yards.
A bit of luck in the home box may have seen Clyde take the lead, before Callum Reidford pulled off a fine stop in injury time to keep the half-time score at 1-1.
However, in the second half the Bully Wee, whose starting line up featured five 17-year-olds, did not have answer to a barrage of six goals by the Lions and were left to rue the missed opportunities in the first match at Broadwood.
Three goals in three crazy minutes finished the game off, before Halliday, Winters and Fox completed the scoring.
