League Leaders Await Clyde
It’s top against bottom in the Second Division tomorrow as the Bully Wee travel to league leaders Stirling Albion.
Definitely out of the match are Dave McKay and Marvyn Wilson. The latter is suspended for one match but also suffering from an ankle injury. Steven Howarth faces a late call on a calf injury.
However, after limping off against Peterhead and missing the Man Utd XI match, Willie Sawyers has recovered in time to be considered. The Clyde squad could also be bolstered by a trialist, with young midfielder Connor Stevenson expected to feature after a good showing against the Red Devils.
“Tomorrow’s game against Stirling couldn’t be tougher for us as they are deserved league leaders but it’s important that we return to the form that we showed against Stenhousemuir and Arbroath,” John Brown said.
“We will miss Marvyn but Connor Stevenson performed well against Manchester United and he will get another opportunity tomorrow. We will freshen it up again and although I’ve been unable to bring in any loan deals we may add a trialist to the squad.
“Apart from Marvyn’s suspension and a late fitness test for Steven Howarth we are at full strength and ready to get back to winning ways.”
