Stirling Albion 1-1 Clyde
The Bully Wee pushed the leaders all the way at Forthbank this afternoon, with a late goal cruelly denying Clyde of all three points.
Youngsters Connor Cassidy (left) and Connor Stevenson came back into the starting line-up and they were joined by trialist striker Bob Davidson.
The first half was a close affair, with one or two chances for both sides at either end. Willie McLachlan was unlucky to see his drive saved and hit the post, with Stevenson having a chance to finish a move he started, but he sliced his shot.
The match got better for Clyde in the second half, when Muir and Stewart combined to set up Willie Sawyers and he neatly finished off the inside of the post.
The hosts began to pile the pressure onto the Bully Wee, with only some brilliant and determined rearguard action from Callum Reidford and the rest of the side keeping the score at 0-1. Unfortunately though, a late looping shot by the Binos’ Corr deceived everyone and swerved into the top corner to earn a draw.
