Lang, Reidford & Walker Sign
The club can this afternoon confirm the signature of three more players on one-year deals.
Goalkeeper Callum Reidford (22) has put pen to paper. The ex-Rangers youngster left Dunfermline at the end of last season and has been tracked by John Brown for a number of weeks.
The manager finally got his man today and said, “I’m delighted to get a ‘keeper of Callum’s quality. He is at a stage of his career where he is keen to get regular first team football and this is a good opportunity for him. He is a good communicator and will strengthen our defence.”
Last season’s under-17 ‘keeper Jordan Allan, now officially promoted to the under-19s, will deputise for Callum during 2009-10.
Former Falkirk midfielder Jay Lang, 19, has also signed. Pictured on the homepage, Jay impressed the Clyde support after coming on as a sub (number 16) during Saturday’s friendly match. “I thought Jay did very well for us at the weekend and I know the fans appreciated the way that he played,” John said. “His passing ability will again bolster our midfield.”
Completing the trio of captures is Darren Walker (pictured). The 19-year-old striker was part of the club’s youth set up last year and also put in a good performance against Partick Thistle, combining with Lang to score the winning goal.
