Further Three Added to Squad

The new Clyde squad continued to take shape today with the signature of three players that took part in the friendly win over Partick Thistle.

Pictured on the homepage, 24-year-old midfielder Jamie Doyle was one of the first to catch the eye in the trials. He spent four years at Leicester City as a teenager before coming back to Scotland with Ayr United. Spells at Albion Rovers, Arbroath and Glenafton followed and he hopes to now fulfill his potential at Clyde.

Despite returning home from his honeymoon only hours earlier, he played 45 minutes of Saturday’s match at number 6.

A man who knows Broadwood well, Robert Halliday has put pen to paper. The 23-year-old left-back was a youth player with the club up to under-19 level before leaving in 2004. He did not make the progression into the first team then but will be hoping to take this second chance.

Robert (pictured left) played at number 3 on Saturday.

Also signed up is Jonathon Fisher. The 17-year-old midfielder was recently released by Hearts and appeared as a second half sub on Saturday (number 14). He’ll be eligible to play in the club’s youth ranks but could also push for first team involvement.

John Brown is continuing to work hard to make more additions to the team ahead of Saturday’s opener against Stenhousemuir.
