Festive Moves

With the transfer window set to open next week, there has been little time for John Brown to enjoy the holiday period as he confirmed some player developments after training today.

The manager was pleased to announce that he has reached agreement with Rangers FC for the loans of Alan Lowing (pictured) and Paul Emslie to be extended until the end of January, when the situation will be reviewed again. He said:-

“They are both starting to fully adapt to life in the First Division and playing week in, week out. They are an important part of the team and I’m pleased they’ll be staying longer.”

John also reported that Michael Ohnesorge’s contract will be terminated by mutual consent. After impressing in the summer, the German defender signed a two-year deal with the club, but returned to his homeland recently after picking up a hamstring injury.

“Michael has agreed to sign a release form and that will be finalised in the coming days,” John said.

“His departure could allow us to strengthen the squad during the window and we are working hard to try and make that happen.”

Finally, David McGowan will be returning to Arbroath for a second loan spell, this time until the end of the season.
