Billy Still the Man to Beat
With half of the season now completed, Billy Gibson is still the man to catch in the official website’s Player of the Year standings.
The popular defender (right) has been in extremely consistent form and it will be tough for nearest challenger Chris Higgins or any of the rest of the chasing pack to move him from the top spot. There are still a lot of games to go, however.
The top five in the overall standings are as follows:-
Pos. | Player | Pts |
1 | Billy Gibson | 30 |
2 | Chris Higgins | 21 |
3 | Pat Clarke | 13 |
4 | Willie McLaren | 12 |
5 | Alan Trouten | 9 |
You can view the full list at the Squad > Statistics page.
Website members can contribute to the overall award by voting for their top three performers after each Bully Wee match.
Alan Trouten was today confirmed as the winner of the Man of the Match vote for Saturday’s 4-4 draw at East End Park, during which he scored after just 27 seconds.
