Bell Looking Foward to Cup Clash
New Douglas Park awaits the team tomorrow night as they try to overcome Hamilton and earn a place in the last sixteen of the Co-operative Insurance Cup.
Alan Trouten returns to the squad having missed Saturday’s match at Livingston due to a migraine. Neil McGregor is rated as doubful, however, and Gary McSwegan and Willie McLaren continue to miss out.
Assistant Manager, Dougie Bell spoke to www.clydefc.co.uk this afternoon:-
“It’s a big game for us and it’s going to be tough. Hamilton have started their SPL campaign well. We watched them against Dundee United and had them watched again on Saturday. They are playing in a similar way to last season and are a threat from set pieces so we’ll need to be on our toes.
“We’re the underdogs and we’ve got nothing to lose so we’re going to have a go at winning the match. We’ve done well in the cup competitions so far and it would be great for the boys to get to the later stages of a national competition.
“The surface at New Douglas Park is grass now and it looked good so we’re looking forward to a good match.”
Admission to the match, which starts at 7.45pm, will be at the following reduced prices:-
Adult: £10
Concession: £5
Under-16: £3
