Livingston 2 Clyde 1
A Leigh Griffiths (right) goal denied Clyde a crucial point at Almondvale this afternoon. The young Livi striker scored four minutes from time to give Livingston a 2-1 victory.
It all looked so different in the first half when Pat Clarke scored his third of the season to open the scoring in the 29th minute. The forward did well to turn his man and finish into the bottom corner. That came after Scott Gemmill had missed a great chance to get his first goal for the club.
However, McParland equalised just before half-time when he was given time to pick his spot from the edge of the box.
As the second period progressed, the home side began to dominate the match and push Clyde further back. Chris Higgins made a superb last-ditch tackle to prevent a certain goal near the end but it was to prove irrelevant as Griffiths got in behind the defence and beat Hutton.
The Bully Wee can have few complaints about the result after failing to match their first half assertiveness after the break.
