Alloa Athletic 0 v 2 Clyde
Clyde progressed to the Third Round of the ALBA Challenge Cup following a 0-2 victory over Alloa Athletic tonight.
The first half was a tight affair, with few chances at either end. Michael Ohnesorge came close to giving Clyde the lead, however, when his free-kick into the box came back off the post.
The Bully Wee changed to a more attacking formation at half-time and Alan Trouten came on for Ricky Waddell, who had a good debut.
It was Trouten who helped open the scoring, when his pass found Ruari MacLennan in the box and Pat Clarke eventually fired home from close range.
Alloa then hit the bar with a header but soon after the win was sealed when a terrific free-kick by Trouten was headed in by Billy Gibson.
