Clyde 3 v 2 Livingston
Clyde secured an excellent victory at Broadwood this afternoon but as ever made life difficult for themselves! Clyde opened the scoring through Pat Clarke and quickly got a second when Ruari MacLennan fired home from the edge of the box.
A Weir header got Livi back in the game but the Clyde fans relaxed early in the second half when MacLennan once more put The Bully Wee in front following a great solo run.
However, Livi then threw everything at Clyde and when a speculative shot from Tinkler wrong footed Hutton, the afternoon was set for a fraught finish. Thankfully for the home support Clyde held on for what may yet prove to be a priceless victory.
Boss John Brown was delighted with the three points but was also his pragmatic self when he emphasised to the press afterwards that it was just one victory and the club faced three more “cup finals” to determine its future in the First Division.
