Brown Wants Lion Tamers
John Brown spoke to the Official Website on the eve of one of the most important games of his spell at Clyde to date: “It’s a massive game for us. Livingston have had three good results in succession, coming back to draw against Morton and then victories against Stirling and Queen of the South respectively.
“Livi have got the points on the board and have put pressure on ourselves and Morton. So a win tomorrow is vital for us. We need to start the game in the right manner, closing Livi down, playing with an energy that gets the fans excited and backing us with passion.”
John recognised the role that fans could play but acknowledged that the players had a responsibility to get the support passionate:-
“The fans recognise hard work and endeavour and if the players deliver that with urgency then the supporters will get on our side and drive us on. To do that it is important that the players show desire and hunger from the first whistle.”
The club doesn’t have any suspension worries this weekend but long term injury victim Craig McKeown remains out and Gary Arbuckle is a doubt after suffering a “dead leg” against Dundee.
