All Focussed

Clyde boss John Brown spoke to the official website on the eve of the crucial league clash with St Johnstone: “The players know that Saturday was an unacceptable performance and we need to quickly make amends. I thought we started quite well but again our defending was very poor and we lost some bad goals.”

Brown continued, “We need to start getting results now, the games are running out and single points aren’t good enough. The players may be fearful about our league position but they need to focus, concentrate and ultimately show what they are capable of in this division.”

After a period of injuries and suspensions there was mixed news from the Clyde camp: “Pat Clarke, Chris Higgins and Iain Campbell are available for selection but Jimmy Gibson is doubtful and another first team player will have a fitness test in the morning to judge whether or not he can take part.

“Whoever is picked will need to show the right levels of determination and commitment so that we can move up this league. We need to learn from Saturday but we can’t dwell on it and now all our minds are focussed on getting maximum points at Perth.”
