St. Johnstone 1 v 2 Clyde
Goals from Kevin Bradley and Jorg Albertz handed Clyde a massive three points tonight, during a spirited and gutsy team effort at McDiarmid Park.
The Bully Wee started the game well and looked the more likely to score before Kevin Bradley nipped in to drill a shot into the bottom corner. Saints were almost immediately awarded a penalty but it was put over the bar by Paul Sheerin.
Six minutes into the second half Pat Clarke won a free-kick on the edge of the box and Albertz let fly with a hammer shot that deflected into the net to double the lead.
David Hutton then became the hero when he brilliantly saved a second St.Johnstone penalty, but on 61 minutes Wilson pulled a goal back from a corner.
John Brown’s men then had to endure some heavy pressure to notch the victory but managed to hold on, moving the club into 7th place in the First Division in the process.
