Morton 1 v 2 Clyde
Two goals in injury time gave The Bully Wee an incredible victory at Cappielow today, moving the club out of the bottom two in the First Division in the process.
In the 91st minute, substitute Ruari MacLennan produced a piece of brilliance to equalise, beating his man and firing the ball into the corner of the net from the edge of the box. It was to get even better for the Clyde support with the final kick of the match, when Craig McKeown converted a Steven Masterton free-kick at the back post to clinch a massive three points.
The match had, in truth, been poor for long spells before that and the home side came closest to scoring on a couple of occasions before half-time. David Hutton’s low save and Iain Campbell’s tackle had kept Morton out.
Morton did take the lead shortly after the break though, when a Chris Millar shot took a wicked deflection and looped over Hutton.
Clyde tried hard to get back into the match thereafter but left it late to make an impact, as substitutes Arbuckle, MacLennan and Masterton helped breathe some new life into the team.
