Hutton Has High Hopes

David Hutton spoke to www.clydefc.co.uk at the end of a week that saw him commit his immediate future to the club by signing a new 18-month contract:-

“I’m very pleased to have signed. It’s a good deal and Clyde gave me my chance so I’m happy to stay for at least another year. I had options to go elsewhere but I’m playing every week – which I love doing and was important to me – and I like it here.

“I want to help Clyde stay in the league first and foremost and I’m going to try my hardest to do that. Hopefully we can go further than that and see how high up the table we can go.”

The news came as a boost ahead of the visit of Dundee United tomorrow and the Clyde stopper revealed that he and the rest of the squad were looking forward to the Sky TV Scottish Cup clash:-

“It’s my first ever match on live television so I’m a wee bit nervous but as soon as I get onto the pitch I’ll be fine. All the boys are buzzing about it and are really up for it.

“Hopefully we can pull off another shock here at Broadwood!”
