Clyde v Dundee United

Colin Hendry spoke to the Official Website at Broadwood this afternoon, as Sky TV finished installing a number of cameras around the stadium for tomorrow’s live Scottish Cup Fourth Round match against Dundee United.

The Clyde Manager was under no illusions about the scale of the task for The Bully Wee against one of the SPL’s top performing clubs this season:-

“Dundee United are a very good side and Craig Levein has done a remarkable job there. I know him pretty well and he also did a phenomenal job at Leicester City without people realising what he had done.

“He’s built a right good squad with a good ethic. They’ve had a good season so far and there’s probably more to come from them; but hopefully not in the cup!”

Despite being firm underdogs, Colin felt that his players would be up to challenge:-

“So far this season we have generally done better in matches where we’ve been written off and been in the face of adversity. This will, of course, be the case tomorrow – even more so.

“This is a different type of match to the ones we’ve had at Broadwood recently and we’ll be talking before the game about various aspects relating to it. We’ll prepare the players for it the best we can before they go out on the pitch.”

Colin concluded by assuring supporters that he was determined that the match would be competitive and exciting:-

“We want to do ourselves justice in the game and come out of it with some pride. It’s a cliche, but it is a one off game and as always anything can happen. We’ve just got to make sure that everyone plays as well as they can and if they do something might happen.”

The match kicks-off at 12.45pm, with coverage starting on Sky Sports 1 at 12.30pm.
