Dougie Imrie, scorer of today’s second goal, will travel south this week for a three day trial at English League One outfit Nottingham Forest.

Colin Hendry told the Official Website that the left winger has decided that he will not be signing a new contract once his current one runs out in June and wishes to continue his career in England.

The Clyde Manager said, “Ever since I arrived at the club there’s been interest in Dougie. We respect his wish to try and move on to a higher level and this trial represents a great opportunity for him.”

Imrie, 24, joined Clyde in January 2006 from Lanark United and has been a regular starter in the first team since.
