St Johnstone 2 Clyde 1
The Bully Wee suffered a painful defeat in Perth today after a spirited display which wasn’t quite enough to give a good travelling support a late Christmas present.
Gary Arbuckle scored his fifth in six games when he expertly slotted home a back post header after a great Dougie Imrie cross but sloppy goals from Clyde’s point of view, converted by Milne and MacDonald, turned the match in favour of the home side.
There had been chances at both ends in a lively match but Stephen O’Donnell was particularly unlucky to see his effort cleared off the line – after he was unselfishly picked out by Masterton – with the score at 0-1.
