Lotto Deal For Clyde

Clyde today confirmed Italian sportswear company Lotto as their new kit suppliers commencing from season 2006/07. The multinational company have chosen Clyde to pioneer their breakthrough into the domestic market in the UK.

Clyde Football Club were delighted to announce their partnership with international sportswear giants Lotto. This year Lotto have designed three shirts for the 2006/07 season, a new tracksuit and training kit for the players and Lotto also plan to work with Clyde in the supply of a whole range of products.

At a lunchtime press conference Head of Lotto Soccer Direct UK, Mike Hegarty was in no doubt of the benefit of the deal for both parties, “We are delighted that Clyde have accepted the offer to become our partners and I hope that today marks something special. We have been greatly impressed by Clyde’s attitude to young players and we are in this for the long term.”

“As Clyde are the first club in the UK to be supplied by us then we will always have a special relationship with the Bully Wee. As an example of this the club’s youth teams will be supplied with our new range of Zhero boots. Throughout Lotto, Clyde’s victory over Celtic has made a major impact and with the news that the average age of the side was only 20 then that image ideally fitted our profile and the club became our No1 target.”

The deal arose as the Clyde board worked to improve the club’s commercial opportunities and Managing Director Jim Murray was proud to have the deal confirmed, “It is one more step in increasing the professional image of the club. I believe it is an excellent achievement for us to have new kit supplier and our first team sponsor in Optical Express in place for next season confirmed by March. This news can only help us in our determination to build on this season’s success.”

Graham Roberts was equally impressed “It’s a fantastic brand and we are all looking forward to working with Lotto.”
