It was the same old story for Clyde today, as they paid the ultimate price for their missed chances with Charlie Adam heading the winner in the 72nd minute. Both managers spoke to the media after the game.

Graham Roberts was first to face the press, “As ever gutted. We had 3 chances in the first half. I would call them sitters, we don’t take them and we said at half time they have done it to us before don’t let it happen again.”

“I think their goalkeeper was the star man, I thought Craig Bryson was excellent. We can’t fault the effort we put in but the goal we gave away well, I want to see it on TV tomorrow. Somebody is going to get into trouble. We knew who would score as he has probably scored all their vital goals. Charlie Adam is a great player and you can’t give him a free header at the back post. Their goal keeper pulled off some terrific saves but I’m sure he his on more than £150 a week and that is what wins you leagues I can’t fault them for effort but I’m not happy at how we conceded.”

“In the first half, Alex Williams should have laid on Dougie Imrie. Alex said he was one on one and if you are then you’ve got to score. Dougie Imrie had no one within 20 yards of him and if it gets to him then it’s a free shot at goal.”

“Tom Brighton had the easier chance of the two. We had some good efforts in the first half but that has been our downfall against St Mirren but they are a good side. They will win the league I’m pleased for Gus he has worked very hard, he has quality players there I’m sure they will go on to better things next year and hopefully they can get their under soil heating sorted out!”
